Fire Pujas
Fire pujas are a ritual ceremony in which the intention of purification. A variety of items are placed into the fire as offerings. We then chant prayers in Tibetan as part of the ceremony.
There are three types of fire pujas varying of type of offering:
-sang : offering of smoke
-sur : offering of smell
-jin-seig : offering the fire itself
In all three, you make offerings to:
- the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and the dieties
- the Protectors and high spiritual gods
- all sentient beings
- the hungry ghosts and your own negative karma
